Mesa Water Booth to Offer Water-Wise Tips, Prizes, and Family Fun

COSTA MESA, Calif.; September 18, 2019 — Mesa Water District (Mesa Water®) is a sponsor of the 2019 Costa Mesa-Newport Harbor Lions Club Fish Fry, Carnival & Auction. This year’s Fish Fry will mark the 72nd year and continues to be one of the longest-standing traditions in Orange County. Funds raised from the Fish Fry help support local schools, clubs, and community organizations.

“The Fish Fry is a Costa Mesa staple and continues to be one of the biggest events of the year,” says Shawn Dewane, Mesa Water Board President. “I invite everyone to stop by Mesa Water’s booth to enjoy fun family activities and learn more about their safe and reliable drinking water.”

Mesa Water's booth at the event will feature water conservation tips and a Water-Wise Question Wheel for a chance to win prizes, including beach balls, sunscreen, lip balm, and more.

Admission to the Fish Fry is free, and each fish dinner is $10. Mesa Water customers are encouraged to check their most recent water bill for a $1.00 off fish dinner coupon. The event features an auction, a rib-eating contest, raffles, carnival rides, a car show and live music, and will take place at Fairview Park, located at 2525 Placentia Avenue, Costa Mesa.

The Fish Fry is a three-day event beginning Friday, September 20, from 5:00 p.m. to 10 p.m., and continuing on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, from noon to 10 p.m. For more information, please visit the Lions Club website.
