COSTA MESA, Calif.; December 16, 2021 ā€” Mesa Water District (Mesa WaterĀ®) is hosting a video contest for local students who live in or attend high schools and colleges in the Mesa Water service area, to promote water awareness.

ā€œWe are excited to see the next generation of storytellers highlight our 100% local, reliable and safe water! Local students represent the future and the video contest is a creative and meaningful way to partner with students in telling Mesa Water's story of abundant local, reliable, clean safe water," says Marice H. DePasquale, Mesa Water Board President.

Students are invited to submit a fun and informative video (60 seconds or less) addressing one the following questions:

  • Why is it safe to drink Mesa Water straight from the tap? ā€“ #ByeByeBottled
  • What does it mean to you that Mesa Water is 100% local? ā€“ #PurelyLocal
  • Why do you love Mesa Water? ā€“ #ILoveMesaWater

Animations, songs, poems, TikToks, monologues and stop motion videos are welcome. Video entries will be accepted from January 1 to February 28, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Three winners will be selected with the following monetary prizes:

  • 1st Place - $1,000
  • 2nd Place - $750
