COSTA MESA, Calif. ā€” Mesa Water District (Mesa WaterĀ®)
(Mesa WaterĀ®)  was pleased to host Yo Amo Mesa Water (I love Mesa Water) on February 11, a free resource fair where families enjoyed a morning of water education, health information, music, games, face painting, refreshments, and a photo opportunity with a Mesa Water dump truck, and Vanguard Universityā€™s mascot Samson the Lion and Municipal Water District of Orange Countyā€™s (MWDOC) mascot, Ricky Raindrop.

The event featured a program, including remarks from AdĆ”n Ortega, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California Board Chairman, Shawn Dewane, Mesa Water Board President, and Fred R. Bockmiller, Mesa Water Board Director.

ā€œOur customers are at the heart of everything our Board of Directors and staff does at Mesa Water,ā€ said Shawn Dewane, Mesa Water Board President. ā€œWe were delighted to invite our community to visit Mesa Water to celebrate our plentiful supply of reliable, pure, safe water ā€“ and introduce attendees to our vending machine, which dispenses the same high-quality tap water we deliver to homes and businesses for just 5 cents a gallon!ā€

Attendees received a free, reusable one-gallon water bottle filled with 100% local water from Mesa Waterā€™s newly refurbished water vending machine, located outside of Mesa Waterā€™s office.

Community partners and organizations at the event included Orange County Water District, MWDOC, City of Costa Mesa, including Mobile Recreation, Costa Mesa Police Department, Hoag, Latino Health Access, Save Our Youth, Orange County Health Care Agency, Brain Builders and Vanguard University.
