Conservation Corner: May is Water Awareness Month

Be a Mesa Water Saver and practice the following helpful tips to save water!

  • Sweep (don’t spray) to clean outdoor areas; save 8-18 gallons per minute.
  • Set mower blades to 3” to encourage deeper root growth and saves 16-50 gallons per day.
  • Plant California Friendly trees and plants to save 30-60 gallons per 1,000 sq. ft. each day you water.
  • Adjust sprinkler heads and fix leaks, saves 12-15 gallons each time you water.
