Posted: Friday, October 30, 2020

This year, Mesa Water District (Mesa WaterĀ®) commemorated its 60th anniversary, a tremendous milestone in the organizationā€™s history. Founded in January 1, 1960, Mesa Water provides its community ā€“ including some of Orange Countyā€™s top businesses and landmarks, such as the OC Fair & Event Center, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Orange Coast College, and Vanguard University ā€“ with safe, affordable, reliable water that is 100% sourced from local groundwater supplies, a unique accomplishment in Orange County.

From its early roots when the communityā€™s water came from natural underground springs via artesian wells, to the present, when Mesa Water provides clean, high-quality water to businesses and more than 110,000 residents in todayā€™s bustling service area, the award-winning agency has an eye to the future with key initiatives underway. As part of that effort, Mesa Water is investing in its water system and facilities through its Capital Improvement Program Renewal. This includes constructing two new wells to increase local water production capacity; ongoing pipeline integrity testing to ensure economical and timely replacement of infrastructure; and, updating the Mesa Water Reliability Facility (MWRF).

As one of the most efficient water agencies in Orange County, and with its deep commitment to excellent customer service and investment in infrastructure, Mesa Water is positioned to continue to successfully serve its community for generations to come. Hereā€™s to the next 60 years!
