CMHS Wins Second Place at Solar Cup

Costa Mesa High School’s (CMHS) Solar Cup team sailed to success at the 2019 Solar Cup competition, the nation’s largest student-based solar powered boat race. The seven-month program focusing on conservation, engineering, and problem solving culminated in a three-day competition at Lake Skinner, in Temecula Valley. Out of the 40 Southland high school teams, CMHS placed second overall and won first place for their PSA promoting efficient water use.
