Mesa Water History: The First Water Reservoir

Southern California suffered through one of its worst droughts in history during the early 1990s and proved to be particularly damaging for Orange County. Relief would come soon, as Mesa Waterā€™s first water storage reservoir opened on May 23, 1990. The ten-million-gallon reservoir was the first step in Mesa Waterā€™s efforts to source 100-percent of the communityā€™s water needs with a local supply.
