Mesa Water Board President DePasquale to Serve on the Association of California Water Agencies' Region 10 Board

COSTA MESA, Calif.; February 17, 2022 – Mesa Water District (Mesa Water®) is honored to announce the appointment of Marice H. DePasquale, Mesa Water’s Board President, to serve on the Association of California Water Agencies’ (ACWA) Region 10 Board. Since 2018, DePasquale has been an active ACWA Communications Committee member, including work on developing a statewide public education campaign regarding the importance and benefits of investing in water infrastructure and new water supplies for California.

“It is a privilege and my passion to advocate for safe, affordable and reliable water for our community and all Californians,” says Marice H. DePasquale, Mesa Water Board President. “I will leverage my water industry knowledge and water policy experience to galvanize ACWA Region 10 and its members to be a strong statewide voice advocating for issues such as water affordability and the human right to water, water quality, and the dire need for water reliability and sustainability.”

President DePasquale will be serving a two-year term as a Board member of ACWA Region 10, representing Orange County and San Diego members of ACWA which is the country’s largest statewide coalition of public water agencies. ACWA provides comprehensive leadership, advocacy and resources for California water agencies to ensure a high quality and reliable water supply in an environmentally sustainable and fiscally responsible manner.

DePasquale has served on the Mesa Water Board of Directors for six years. She has decades of public relations experience, and is Principal of MConsensus, an award-winning public affairs firm specializing in land use entitlement. DePasquale is a Water UCI Board member, and has served on the Board of Seneca Family of Agencies, the state’s largest foster-adopt nonprofit. Additionally, she has served on UCI’s School of Social Sciences Dean’s Board of Counselors, the City of Huntington Beach’s Affordable Housing Committee, and the the Building Industry Association’s Orange County Chapter, among other professional and community organizations.
