Mesa Water does not rely on imported water from the Colorado River or Northern California—making it the only water district in Orange County to be 100% locally sourced. Rather, we draw all of our water from the Orange County Groundwater Basin— an abundant, locally managed source that’s regularly replenished by the Santa Ana River, stormwater and the Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS), a world-renowned water purification project that recycles water to near-distilled quality.

Mesa Water customers also benefit from our forward-thinking infrastructure maintenance and management. Our infrastructure is continuously maintained and upgraded to reduce water loss, improve efficiency, and protect customers from rate volatility.
