Mesa Water District to Host Water-Wise Wednesdays Each Week at the 2015 OC Fair

Guided Garden Tours and Tips from 1-5pm to Help Save Water Outdoors

WHAT: OC Fair-goers can participate in a guided tour of a beautiful and water-efficient demonstration garden in the Centennial Farm area every Water-Wise Wednesday afternoon during the OC Fair. The garden uses California Friendly and drought-tolerant plants, drip irrigation, mulch, and other water-efficient landscaping features that create an attractive landscape, prevent water waste, and save money and the environment. Mesa Water conservation staff will be present in the garden and the neighboring pavilion to guide tours, answer questions, and share water-wise tips. Staff will additionally be sharing information about the drought and Mesa Water’s emergency drought regulations implemented to meet the state’s 20 percent conservation mandate.

WHO: The public is invited to participate in Mesa Water’s Board-sponsored garden tours, led by Mesa Water conservation and customer services staff, providing information and answering questions about ways to be water-wise.

WHEN: Water-Wise Wednesdays at the 2015 OC Fair – July 22 & 29, and August 5 & 12 from 1-5pm.

WHERE: OC Fair & Event Center—88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
Mesa Water’s Water-Wise Wednesday garden tours and tips can be found in the shaded seating area near the Centennial Farm Silo building or in front of Gallery 15.
