Mesa Water's "H2O Sweet H2O" Water-wise Garden Demonstrations Return to OC Fair, Free with Admission

Water District’s Conservation Specialist Highlights California Friendly Plants Designed to Save Water and Money

WHAT: Free with OC Fair admission, OC Fair-goers can see how water-wise gardens can be both beautiful and water-efficient by using California Friendly plants, drip irrigation, and other aesthetic landscaping features that prevent water waste and save money and the environment.  Sponsored by the Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) Board of Directors, the demonstrations educate customers and the community about water use efficiency.

At the conclusion of each demonstration, attendees will receive water use efficiency information and a Mesa Water souvenir (while supplies last), along with a chance to enter a drawing to win a water-wise prize (one winner per show).  Additionally, District customers who attend and show their recent Mesa Water bill will also receive a water-wise prize (one prize per household).

WHO: The District’s Conservation Specialist will demonstrate Mesa Water’s Water-Wise Garden at the OC Fair with a brief lecture, followed by a tour of the garden, and a question-answer session.

WHEN: 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Wednesdays -- July 18, July 25, August 1, August 8;
  • Sundays -- July 22, July 29; and,
  • Friday -- August 10.
