Mesa Water District Promotes its Commitment to Ensuring an Excellent Work Environment for Employees

Costa Mesa, Calif.; August 28, 2012 – The Mesa Water Board has adopted a strategic plan for the organization.  Mesa Water’s strategic plan, updated in 2011, includes a goal to attract and retain skilled employees.  To achieve this goal, Mesa Water ensures a professional, productive work environment, with written policies that apply to the entire organization on proper conduct in performing the work of the District.

Mesa Water highly values its staff, is committed to providing positive working conditions for employees, and is dedicated to providing excellent service to its customers and community.  Mesa Water is obligated to proactively acknowledge and address any and all work-related claims.  Furthermore, Mesa Water rigorously enforces its personnel policies to provide a safe and professional work environment.

There was a recent report to Mesa Water’s human resources department involving District staff and one of its Board members; Mesa Water is taking this very seriously.  Mesa Water is investigating the event and will report on the results of the investigation after it is completed and the proper course of action is determined.

Mesa Water is fortunate to have a very low staff turnover rate.  As an award-winning public agency, Mesa Water is a California Special Districts Association (“CSDA”) District of Distinction, accredited since 2007 (when this accreditation was inaugurated) by the Special District Leadership Foundation.  This accreditation recognizes agencies that provide essential public services in a fiscally responsible manner.
