Mesa Water Board Updates District's Expense Reimbursement Guidelines and Credit Card Use

New Guidelines Tighten Limits

Costa Mesa, Calif.; May 20, 2013 – The Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) Board of Directors updated its guidelines for District credit card use, as well as its expense reimbursement policy, to further its commitment to financial transparency.

“Mesa Water’s Board has revised its guidelines to strengthen its business practices and demonstrate its continued commitment to serving the public,” says James R. Fisler, President of the Mesa Water Board of Directors.  President Fisler continues, “As an AAA-rated water district, Mesa Water is one of the most efficient water districts in Orange County, and able to serve 100 percent of its customers’ water needs with locally-sourced, reliable water supplies while significantly reducing the District’s carbon footprint.”

These and other reviews of Mesa Water’s business and operations are intended to ensure that the District is performing productively in the provision of water services to its customers and the community in an effective, efficient, and economical manner.
