Noelle Collins Joins Mesa Water as Communications Coordinator

Collins Brings Over 15 Years Of Communications Expertise To The Role

Costa Mesa; May 31, 2013 – Seasoned communications professional, Noelle Collins, recently joined Mesa Water District (Mesa Water) as Communications Coordinator in the District’s Public & Government Affairs Department.  Collins is responsible for creating and maintaining Mesa Water’s communications content, conducting media relations, facilitating outreach campaigns about water use efficiency and the District’s infrastructure improvements, and planning, promoting, publicizing and producing community events and water education programs.  As Communications Coordinator, Collins reports to Mesa Water’s Public & Government Affairs Manager.

“Noelle’s experience in communications campaigns, media relations, and community outreach in the public and nonprofit sectors makes her an incredible asset to Mesa Water,” says the District’s General Manager Paul E. Shoenberger, P.E.

With more than fifteen years of experience in public and government affairs, Noelle has spent the past six years of her career in the water industry, previously working for a regional water wholesaler in Los Angeles county. Prior to joining the water industry, Collins worked to preserve watershed lands in Southern California.

“Water was often discussed in our house when I was growing up; my parents and grandparents made sure we knew that our water had traveled from the Colorado River and the Northern Sierras,” says Collins. She continues, “I’m proud to be working for Mesa Water as a well-run water retailer that provides 100 percent locally-sourced, reliable water to its customers.”

An Orange County native, Collins earned her Bachelor of Arts in geography at U.C. Berkeley, and her Associate of Arts degree from Orange Coast College.
