Mesa Water Perpetually Improves Its Infrastructure

Mesa Water’s wells are the backbone of the system that allows the District to be 100% locally reliable. To keep the wells working efficiently, Mesa Water is implementing several improvements, such as rehabilitating our wells, installing energy-efficient water pumps and backup generators, and increasing site security.

Mesa Water is also modernizing the wells by adding real-time treatment management systems to regulate and ensure our water is clean and safe. Mesa Water’s reservoirs are powered by natural gas, and in the event of a short-term power outage, the Kemp reservoir has the capacity to supply water to our entire service area. To ensure the integrity of our pipelines, Mesa Water performs a series of tests throughout the year for cost-effectiveness and replacement of pipelines based on condition, age and useful life.
