MESA CONSOLIDATED WATER DISTRICT
URGES COMMUNITY TO GET INFORMED
Costa Mesa, Calif.– Mesa
Consolidated Water District ( Mesa ) is now offering
an award-winning experience like no other. Water
Issues Study Group (WISG) is an adult program for
those in the community that are serious about getting
involved with important issues concerning our water.
WISG won’t cost a penny! It starts January
15, 2008 and ends in June. Regular meetings are 7:00
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
VIP tours of local facilities will be offered throughout
the program for those wanting to get a look behind
the scenes.
“There are several critical water issues
impacting us locally, regionally, and across the
state,” said James F. Atkinson, Board of Directors
President. “ Mesa encourages customers to find
out what’s happening now, what plans are being
made for the future, and to empower themselves as
consumers.”
The WISG program will include candid and real discussions. Mesa ’s
staff and guest speakers from other local agencies
are ready and willing to help the community get informed.
For more information and to register, visit Mesa
online at www.mesawater.org, call (949) 631-1205,
or stop by the District’s office at 1965 Placentia
Avenue in Costa Mesa.
Mesa provides water service
to more than 100,000 customers in an 18 square-mile
area. The service area includes the city of Costa
Mesa, parts of Newport Beach, and the John Wayne
Airport. Mesa is dedicated to satisfying our community's
water needs.
