MESA TO RECOGNIZE LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR EFFORTS IN WATER CONSERVATION
Costa Mesa, Calif.–Mesa Consolidated Water District’s (Mesa) Board of Directors (Board) will recognize four local organizations for their outstanding efforts in water conservation at their meeting on May 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
Mesa understands the impact commercial organizations have on our area and our water resources. As part of its program to promote wise water use in the community, Mesa will present awards to the Orange County Fair & Event Center, Newport-Mesa Unified School District, the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, and South Coast Plaza. These organizations have taken notable measures to use water more efficiently, not only saving them money, but protecting the quality of life for our community.
“Mesa is proud to have such conscientious organizations in the community who are determined to make a difference to our environment and for our future,” said Shawn Dewane, Board President. “These organizations are models for businesses and agencies all over on how we can work together for a vital issue such as water conservation.”
More information on how individuals or organizations can take advantage of Mesa’s free programs, to help them save water and money, is available by calling (949) 631-1205.
