MESA ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF WATER OPERATIONS MANAGER
Costa Mesa, Calif.– Mesa
Consolidated Water District (Mesa) announces the
appointment of Jerry Vilander to the position of
Water Operations Manager.
Mr. Vilander has more than 15 years of experience
in municipal water and sewer services, including
serving the last two years as the Water and Sewer
Operations Manager for the City of La Habra. Prior
to that, he was the Water Project Manager for the
City of Westminster Water Department. He received
his Masters of Public Administration and Bachelor
of Arts in Political Science from California State
Long Beach.

the community it serves and has been at the forefront
of water treatment technology,” said Jerry
Vilander. “I look forward to working with Mesa’s
dedicated Board and staff.”

the District is extremely confident with its appointment
of Mr. Vilander,” said Lee Pearl, General Manager. “He
brings an impressive amount of experience and knowledge
to the team and will be a great asset to Mesa and
the community.
Jerry Vilander will replace Bill Johnson who retired
last month after 25 years with Mesa. He will begin
his career with Mesa on March 24, 2008.
Mesa provides water service
to more than 100,000 customers in an 18 square-mile
area. The service area includes the city of Costa
Mesa, parts of Newport Beach, and the John Wayne
Airport. Mesa is dedicated to satisfying our community's
water needs.
